A native of Selma, Alabama, LeAnne Owen is a 1991 graduate of Samford University with a B.S. in Public Administration.  She graduated from the Alabama School of Massage Therapy in 1997 and became one of the first 500 therapists licensed in Alabama when licensure began the next year. She opened Therapeutic Balance Massage Therapy in Birmingham Alabama in 1998. In 2003, she began facilitating seminars for Diversified Nursing Services and for several years traveled the state of Alabama providing continuing education classes to nurses, social workers, occupational and physical therapists. Today she writes home study modules and manages the DNS website in addition to doing massage therapy. Over the years she has learned many types of bodywork including static and gliding cupping, gua sha and other forms of IASTM, active and passive stretching, and kinesiology taping.  She uses an integrative style of deep tissue massage therapy that utilizes all these different myofascial techniques along with deep tissue manual therapy to increase range of motion and decrease restrictions and adhesions that often lead to myofascial pain and a decrease in mobility. LeAnne practiced massage in Birmingham for many years working in spas, chiropractors office, PT offices and owning her own practice.  She moved to Montgomery and joined the staff of Peaceful Solutions in 2014.  Being one of Montgomery’s oldest massage therapy practices, LeAnne became the owner of Peaceful Solutions when the opportunity arose in 2015.
